Meet Claudette

Claudette volunteers three days a week at a community kitchen and shelter system in the Rockville neighborhood of Vernon.
Using food provided by Connecticut Foodshare, she helps prepare and serve meals to the guests. Claudette has built a special connection with the neighbors she serves, and also receives a warm welcome when she needs to use the services at the pantry as well.
"You become a family here, you know everybody's name. Everybody is a human being and they deserve a smile. They deserve a warm meal."
